| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To reduce in size a laser chip, and to improve the coupling accuracy of a laser diode LD to a photodetector by standing a second plane in which the photodetector is mounted in a direction substantially perpendicular to a first plane in which the chip is mounted. CONSTITUTION:A first plane 5a in which a laser chip 1 is mounted is formed on a chip carrier 5, and a second plane 5b is stood in a direction perpendicular to the plane 5a. The chip 1 is so mounted on the plane 5a that the monitoring light of the laser is incident in a direction perpendicular to the second plane 5b. A PIN photodiode 3 is mounted at a position in which the monitoring light is incident on the plane 5b, and the electrodes of the diode 3 are connected to thin conductive films 5c, 5d formed on the plane 5a. The carrier for mounting the chip is reduced in size, the coupling accuracy of the diode to a photodetector is improved, and a block for the photodetector for mounting a monitoring photodetector is eliminated. |
