| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To monitor rear light by installing a photodiode at the rear of a semiconductor laser chip by a method wherein a mirror is provided on the front side of the chip in a manner that a part between the mirror and an end face on the front side of the chip constitutes an external resonator. CONSTITUTION:A glass 3 of a cap 2 which has been melted and bonded to a stem 1 plays a role of a mirror. This mirror face and an end face on the front side of a laser chip 4 constitute an external resonator. When a reflectivity of the mirror and a distance between the mirror and the front of the laser chip 4 are selected properly, an effect the external resonator is produced and a wavelength of a laser can be stabilized. In addition, since the rear can be monitored by using a photodiode, a definite-output optical operation or the like can be executed easily. |
