英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To eliminate excess heat generation, to stabilize light radiation and to suppress power consumption for cooling by using a distributed constant line having an impedance of substantially the same properties as those of an anode and a cathode. CONSTITUTION:A cathode of a LD1 is electrically connected to a first electrode pin 4 through a first wire 3 and a pattern on the upper surface of a ceramic board 15. An anode of the LD1 is electrically connected to a second electrode pin 8 through a second wire 7 and a pattern on the upper surface of the board 15. Here, in an LD module, the two electrodes 4, 8 of the LD1 are formed of distributed constant lines having substantially equal characteristic impedances. Thus, a high frequency signal to be supplied from the electrode 4 of one side is not almost reflected, but output from the other electrode 8. Thus, the LD can be driven even by a high frequency signal such as a microwave, etc., and can be cooled without consuming sufficient power. |
