英文摘要PURPOSE:To prevent the generated of heat in a drive circuit from being conducted thermally into a light emitting element and decrease the fluctuations in a light emitting wave length or the like by forming a package side plate with a high-heat conductive member and a low-heat conductive member and installing respective radiators at a package bottom plate and a part that is formed with the high-heat conductive member at the package side plate. CONSTITUTION:Heat generated by a drive IC 6 is conducted thermally into a high thermal conductive plate material 1 through a thermal conductive member 9 and is radiated from a radiator 15 to the outside. In such a case, the quantity of heat transferred toward a bottom plate 4 from the drive IC 6 is suppressed to an extremely small amount by a low thermal conductive plate material 2 made of aluminum or forsterite. The conduction of heat generated from the drive IC 6 to a semiconductor laser chip 5 can be decreased drastically. Further, the quantity of heat generated by the semiconductor laser chip 5 is lower than heat generated by the drive IC 6. However, it is transferred to the bottom plate 4 through a heat sink 11 and a thermal conductive material 8 and is discharged from a radiator 14 to the outside.
