英文摘要PURPOSE:To provide a semiconductor light-emitting device of a structure wherein the device is provided with a built-in electron cooling element, the electron cooling element is fixed stably and reliably on a heat sink in a package and a change is not generated in the output light of an optical fiber even to the long-period use of the device. CONSTITUTION:In order to fix an electron cooling element 7 on a heat sink 10, a recess-shaped step part 22 is installed on the upper surface of the heat sink 10, on which the element 7 is fixed, and the element 7 is fixed on the upper surface of this step part 22 with solder. Solder is newly fed in a space part formed between the fixed element 7 and the sink 10 and a member 15 is fixed in this space part.
