| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To contrive the improvement in output efficiency and the reduction in oscillation threshold value current by a method wherein the length of a window region is limited, and the end surface opposed to the window region is coated with a film which increases the reflectance. CONSTITUTION:In the titled device of window structure, the length lW of the window region is restricted to the thickness between a light emitting layer 3 and electrodes 8 and 9, or approximately to a thickness of several times, so that the substantial reflection of an emitted light may not occur in the window region. Such a manner enables the efficient light collection of output without the disorder of the emission pattern, resulting in the utilization of the output PW as the output from the window region. On the other hand, even when the length lW shortens in this way, a Fabry-Perot mode can be suppressed sufficiently. Besides, the end surface opposed to the window region is coated with the film 12 which increases the reflectance. Thereby, the oscillation threshold value current is reduced, and the nonsymmetric property of output increases. Therefore, the efficiency of utilized output is largely improved. |
