| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To obtain a semiconductor laser array which is easily manufactured and can be effectively coupled with an optical fiber, by selectively forming a terminal surface coating film, whose reflection factor of the terminal surface is changed to control an oscillation wavelength, in each one of laser elements which are respectively formed monolithically from the same semiconductor laser wafer. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of laser elements 12 in an array shape are respectively formed monolithically from the same semiconductor laser wafer. A terminal surface coating film 36, whose reflection factor of the terminal surface is changed to control an oscillation wavelength of the laser element 12, is selectively disposed in each one of their laser elements 12. According as a reflection factor of an output beam's emission terminal surface decreases, the oscillation wavelength is shifted to the side of a short wavelength. Otherwise according as the reflection factor of a reflection terminal surface opposite to the emission terminal one increases, the oscillation wavelength is shifted to the side of a long wavelength. The oscillation wavelength of the laser element 12 is hence controlled by forming the terminal surface coating film 36 on the emission terminal surface and/or the reflection terminal surface, or otherwise by not forming the film 36 on both these surfaces. |
