英文摘要PURPOSE:To provide a semiconductor laser ray source which is excellent in single wavelength property, small in spectral line width, and able to execute an oscillation wavelength sweep keeping small in spectral line width by a method wherein optical power is evenly distributed, and a resonator power loss due to a waveguide coupling loss and the like in a resonator is lessened, and a current uneven in the lengthwise direction of a resonator is injected into a region even in optical power by diving a current injection electrode. CONSTITUTION:In a semiconductor laser light source which emits laser rays from both its ends, an active layer 7 is provided over whole length of the resonator of a semiconductor laser light source, and a diffraction grating 10 constant in light propagation constant is provided adjacent to both the ends of the resonator of the semiconductor laser light source.
