英文摘要 | Bronze matrix composites were prepared by powder metallurgy method using graphite as the lubricant, titanium carbide (TiC) attached to the surface of graphite was introduced by Self-propagating High-temperature Synthesis (SHS) in order to improve the bronze/graphite interfacial bonding. As a result, the composites became denser, and the mechanical properties were enhanced. Moreover, the experiments of friction indicated that the composites with pretreated graphite possessed higher friction coefficient and better stability in comparison to those with raw graphite. Meanwhile the composites had less wear rate in contrast with pure bronze. This work demonstrated that TiC introduced between graphite and bronze matrix was effective in improving both mechanical and tribological properties of the composites. |
