英文摘要The modernization of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) is a long-period systematic project. TCM has a long history of serving Chinese people, which have been accumulated rich empirical knowledge Of human clinical data on efficacy and toxicity in the treatment of diseases. TCM's modernization should admit multiform development with the prerequisite that will benefit the continuous development and improvement of TCM, as well as people's health care. The studies on the active ingredients of TCM is an essential pall for TCM's modernization, which is embodied in (1) some active ingredients are directly used as drugs or as a lead compounds; (2) the active ingredients Eire not only the effective substances of TCM, but also important biomarkers for the standardization of modern TCM formula, whatever in the process of producing or final products. Furthermore, it should be the core competition of TCM patents.
