Mechanisms of apoptosis induction effect of Pinellia pedatisecta Schott extract on CaSki cell lines of cervical cancer cultured in vitro

| 英文摘要 | Objective: To investigate the mechanisms of apoptosis induction effect of Pinellia extract fraction (PE) on CaSki cell line of cervical cancer cultured in vitro, based on the previous result of PE's effect on CaSki and HeLa. Methods: Expression of Bcl-2 and Bax mRNA were detected by RT-PCR; Expressions of Bcl-2 and Bax protein were detected by western blot assay Results: Expressions of Bcl-2 mRNA and protein were down-regulated, while expressions of Bax mRNA and protein were up-regulated after treated with 0.15g/L PE for 24 hours. Conclusion: PE can induce apoptosis of CaSki cells. One of the mechanisms was by down-regulate expression of Bcl-2 and up-regulate expression of Bax. This result will provide a certain experiment basis for the research of PE's antitumor effects. |
