英文摘要Levo-tetrahydropalmatine (l-THP) is an alkaloid substance extracted from Corydalis and Stephania and is contained in a number of traditional Chinese herbal preparations. l-THP has lower affinity for D2 receptors than for D1 receptors. The unique pharmacological profile of l-THP suggests that l-THP may be effective for the treatment of opiate addiction. The aim of this study was to characterize the effect of l-THP on cue-induced reinstatement of heroin seeking under an extinction/reinstatement protocol. We found that 1.25, 2.5, and 5 mg/kg of l-THP attenuated cue-induced reinstatement of heroin seeking behavior. These results demonstrated that l-THP has therapeutic utility for the treatment of heroin addiction.
