| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To prevent that a recorded component before rewriting mixes in a recorded signal after rewriting by composing the light source of the present device of a multispot type semiconductor laser having plural light emitting part. CONSTITUTION:The light source of the optical recording and reproducing device to use an optical recording medium equipped with a phase change type recording layer is composed of a multispot type semiconductor laser 1 having plural light emitting parts, which can be driven separately, on the same substrate. Accordingly, at least the structure of the active region of an erasing light emitting part 31 of this semiconductor laser 1 is made into the multistripe structure composed of four V grooves 21-24, which emit a phase locked elliptical laser beam 51 and are separately arranged at certain intervals. As the result, the shape and the intensity of an erasing laser spot 51 is stabilized, and the recorded component can be surely erased when information is to be erased. Thus, it can be prevented that the recorded component before rewriting mixes in the recorded signal after rewriting. |
