| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To easily obtain an optical filter element whose optical axis can be aligned by arranging the optical filter element in parallel with a semiconductor element and optically coupling them with the same waveguide. CONSTITUTION:When an optical integrated element which is constituted in such a way that a semiconductor laser 200 and optical filter element 300 are arranged in parallel to each other and they are optically coupled with the same waveguide 100 is used, optical axis alignment can be easily executed by oscillating the laser 200. When this element is operated as an optical filter element, no electric current is supplied to the semiconductor element. When no electric current is supplied to the laser, rays of light branched to the laser side of the incident rays of light are absorbed and not transmitted by the activation layer of the laser. On the other hand, of rays of light branched to the filter element side of the incident rays of light, those having a specific wavelength are transmitted in accordance with the transmission characteristic of the filter element. Therefore, the characteristic of this optical integrated element as an optical filter element is not deteriorated even if the semiconductor laser is integrated in this element in parallel with the optical filter element. |
