| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To obtain a small-sized optical logic element capable of being integrated, by arranging closely two biased linear light guides of laser resonance on a semiconductor chip, and providing one of the light guides with a phase shifter. CONSTITUTION:Linear light guides of laser resonance, 7 and 8, biased nearly equally are arranged so as to be closely coupled on a semiconductor chip 20 having reflection films 9 and 10 on both ends, and one of the light guide, for example the light guide 7, is provided with a phase shifter 8. The bias applied to the light guide 6 and 7 is kept lower than the threshold value. When the linear light guide 6 oscillates based on the phase difference and the distance between the light guides 7 and 8, and the light guide 7 is locked in and oscillates, the two oscillate in anti-phase with each other. When coherent lights 11 and 12 input and oscillate in the light guides 6 and 7, the two are controlled so as to be in the same phase.
