英文摘要PURPOSE:To realize small size and low cost by constituting the circuit by plural laser diodes connected in series through a guide path, light is emitted in different wavelengths by a driving signal where other laser diodes are light-emitted by an injected wavelength by the injection of its output light when one laser diode is driven and light-emitted. CONSTITUTION:For example, a laser diode LD10-1 is set in the ON state by a control signal from a time division multiplex circuit TDM 95, lighted at a wavelength lambda1 and diodes LD10-2-10-5 are set in the OFF state. Then an electric signal is fed from a driving circuit 90-1 to the LD10-1 to convert the signal into an optical signal and the output light is injected sequentially to the diodes LD10-2-10-5 via a waveguide, they are lighted sequentially by the wavelength lambda1 and the output light of the LD10-5 is sent to an optical fiber via a lens 60. When the LD10-2 is set in the ON state and the other diodes LD10-1, 10-3-10-5 are set in the OFF state, the output light of the LD10-5 is sent to the optical fiber similarly. However, it is controlled that two LDs or over are not simultaneously turned on by time division multiplex processing by a TDM 95.
