| 英文摘要 | A tunable VCSEL assembly comprises a first substrate (90) upon which a first epitaxial structure is formed, the first epitaxial structure having areas of different optical properties comprising a front mirror (36) or reflector, an active region, a cavity and a rear surface (34). A back subassembly (14) comprises a second substrate (30) upon which a second epitaxial structure is formed, the second epitaxial structure having areas of different optical properties and comprising a back movable mirror (140) or reflector having a forward surface (32). Tuning the optical output wavelength of the VCSEL assembly in accordance with the present invention can be achieved by moving the mirror (140) of the back subassembly (14) to adjust the thickness of the elastic optically transparent gap between the front surface of the movable mirror (140) and the rear surface (34) of the front subassembly (12). |
