英文摘要PURPOSE:To make a laser device of this design small in size and to decrease it in cross talk by a method wherein a fiber array is used as an optical waveguide between a semiconductor laser array and a photodetective element array, and the whole body is hermetically sealed up. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser array 3, a fiber array 2, and a photodetective element array are fixed to a fiber fixing table 1, which is hermetically sealed up. Light rays traveling through the fiber array 2 are incident on the photodetective regions of the photodetective element array 4. The incident light rays are converted into electrical signals through the photodetective elements 4, which are fed back to the laser chips. As the space between the cores inside the fiber array 2 is equal to the pitch of the light emitting points of the semiconductor laser array 3, the fiber array 2 and the laser array 3 are directly coupled, therefore cross talk can be eliminated and laser rays of the laser array can be separately guided to the cores of the fiber array 2.
