英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To obtain an inexpensive collimated light source element by using a plane light emission type solid state light emitting element, directly bonding a transparent plate to the light emitting surface of the element, and making the plate perform a lens action. CONSTITUTION:A semiconductor laser 5 is composed of a GaAs substrate 50, an n-type clad layer 51, an active layer 52 and a p-type clad layer 53, and a light emitting unit 521 is provided at the center of the layer 52. A microlens 111 of the plate 1 is formed as a Fresnel lens. The plate 1 formed with the microlens 111 and the laser 5 are directly bonded on the surfaces 2 to be bonded in a state that the lens 111 and the unit 521 are matched at the centers. The light diverged radially from the unit 521 of the laser 5 is collimated by the lens 111, and emitted as a parallel light beam in a direction of an arrow. |
