| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To obtain the optical fiber gyro with low drift by removing the coating part of an optical fiber wound up along the periphery of a drum and reducing temperature variation. CONSTITUTION:A quartz optical fiber 8 consists of a quartz core 8a, quartz clad 8b as a core part, and coating 8c of silicone resin, and a secondary coating 8d of nylon is removed. Further, the coating 8c is used as a reinforcing material and its thickness is made smaller than the diameter of the core part, obtaining minimum necessary optical fiber strength for optical fiber drum constitution. Consequently, the temperature of the whole drum is uniformed and the optical fiber gyro is reduced in size; and temperature variation with an environmental change of the fiber drum. |
