| 英文摘要 | PURPOSE:To make a system small in size and to enable the detection of rotation by means of a simple system by a construction wherein an entire optical system from a light source to a photodetector is formed of optical waveguides such as optical fibers. CONSTITUTION:A beam of light from a semiconductor laser 1a is made to fall on a single-mode optical fiber 9 and divided in two by an optical fiber coupler 14a. The two beams pass through optical fiber couplers 14b and 14c respectively and then both pass through an optical fiber coupler 14d. Then, they are propagated clockwise and counterclockwise respectively through an optical fiber loop 1 The beams propagated in multiple times through this optical fiber loop 11 are passed through the optical fiber couplers 14b and 14c respectively and transduced into electric signals by photodetectors 4a and 4b. The stabilization of a resonant point is implemented by using the beam propagated counterclockwise through the loop 11, while the detection of rotation is implemented by using the beam propagated clockwise therethrough. By this constitution, a system can be made small in size, and the detection of rotation can be performed by a simple system. |
