| 英文摘要 | A method and system for the communication of data between data systems and through an optical interface is disclosed. A multi-component photonic package (or optical package)(11, 74, 90) and at least one optical fiber (77) are coupled to create an optical data interface, thereby enabling data communications between devices, for example CPUs(75) and display units (72), through the optical interface. The photonic package (11, 74) thus provides a highly integrated and flexible high bandwidth communications package suitable for data communications. At least one photonic or electro-optical data component (16) is mounted on a multi-element leadframe (15). The photonic components (16) and multi-element leadframe 815) is then overmolded with an encapsulant (10) to create an integrated multi-photonic-device package. The light source (16) may be confgured as a plurality of vertical cavity surface emitting lasers (VCSELs) and/or detectors. The light source (16) may be coupled with a plurality of optical fibers to create an optical fiber interface. The plurality of optical components (16) may be configured to form a detector array. |
