英文摘要Landslides, which develop in the Three Gorges Reservoir area, are caused by many factors. Gradient is one of the indispensable internal factors, besides lithology, relative height difference and slope profile. This paper studies how gradient affects regional landslide from Yunyang to Wushan segment in the Three Gorges Reservoir Area, and also focuses on quantifying the effect of gradient on landslides under the information value model, through Geographical Information System (GIS) technology. Based on an investigation of 205 examples of landslides during past 20 years, we found that the gradient among 20-50 degree contributes most to regional landslides development. Our research results can provide a sound basis for landslide stability assessment in the Three Gorges Reservoir area.
