英文摘要 | Vegetation and climate are two sub systems of environment which are interconnected and relay each on another. Better understanding of these interconnected systems are important when predicting the future trends of global vegetation changing patterns, concurred with climate changes we are experiencing today. Paleontological studies on paleovegetation and paleoclimate give best opportunity to study the behavioral patterns of these two sub systems throughout the earths dynamic eras. Phytolith, geochemical proxies,pollen can be considering as major proxies in paleovegetation studies. Apart from these proxies micro charcoal gives an idea about the fire history, which can be consider as an indirect paleovegetational and anthropogenic proxy. Similarly dung fungi is a direct proxy for mega fauna abundance, which can also use as an indirect anthropogenic proxy. During this study we are using above mentioned proxies for paleovegetational reconstruction since past 50ka B.P. around South China Sea (SCS) and Indian ocean. And we have compared the changes of these paleovegetation with reference to fire history and anthropogenic activities by comparing with dung fungi data and micro charcoal abundance. |
