英文摘要 | In the past decades, many studies have been reported that marine microorganisms, especially marine fungi are known to be rich sources of structurally unique and biologically active metabolites in the nature. As a special source, fungi derived from deep-sea ecosystem, from sponge and coral have recently great attracted researchers to produce a promising and target for the discovery of pharmaceutically and agrochemical secondary metabolites with novel structures, which are improving the high aspects of life for millions of people and in agriculture area in the world. Therefore, those valuable metabolites are produced by well-known classes of fungi such as penicillin, cephalosporins, statins and endosulfan sulfate (for agriculture), due to their diverse physical and chemical living conditions, such as the salinity, absence of light, low levels of oxygen and intensely high pressure. Marine fungi, like the genus Aspergillus sp. and Penicillium citrinum have been produced a new naturally occurring class of secondary metabolites with wide range of biologically active compounds, such as indole alkaloids, steroids, polyketides, benzophenones, diphenyl ethers and xanthones which have a very broad spectrum of applications. They are also used clinically as diverse diseases’ cure such as antibacterial, antifungal, antiviral, anticancer, anti-inflammatory, antioxidants and anti-parasitic agents which are very important for our society in the worldwide. In 1940s the golden age of antibiotic natural product was discovered in the pharmaceutical industry against a “gold rush fever” ensued for many decades. These secondary metabolites have been reported various sources such as mangrove, algae, sponge, coral-reefs, and deep-sea sediments. And their related activities are emanated from the diversity in their chemical structures and functional groups present on them. |
