Purification of SiCl4 as the Byproduct of Titanium Tetrachloride Refining

SiCl4 is a highly toxic waste gas generated during the fractional distillation and refining of titanium tetrachloride. After analyzing the constituents and properties of waste SiCl4, we proposed a process regarding the recovery of high-purity SiCl4 by fractional distillation for further study. The results show that the process is feasible by recovering SiCl4 purer than 99.999% and by allowing the recovery of TiCl4 simultaneously.
