Crystal growth and characterization of CexY3-xFe5O12 single crystal by optical floating zone method

英文摘要CexY3-xFe5O12 (x = 0.05-0.15) single crystals were grown by optical floating zone methods. The X-Ray powder diffraction, infrared spectroscopy, Raman spectroscopy were utilized to examine the phase compositions. The test results show that CexY3-xFe5O12 crystals have pure garnet crystal structure. The magnetic properties of the crystals were tested by Physical Property Measurement System (PPMS). The results indicate that the saturation magnetisation decreases with the concentration of Ce3+ ions increases. The Verdet constant of CexY3-xFe5O12 (x = 0.05-0.15) crystals at 1310 nm are 486.011 rad/T.m, 827.428 rad/T.m, 1223.191 rad/T.m, respectively. The time-domain and frequency-domain spectra of CexY3-xFe5O12 crystals were analyzed for the first time, and the corresponding optical parameters such as refractive index and absorption coefficient were extracted.
