Abstract This study investigated the differences of environmental values of Chinese people across the country and between men and women. Questionnaire survey method was adopted, T test and variance analysis were used to obtain the results. Result shows that: the overall score of the male NEP scale was significantly lower than that of the female. From the mean value of the five dimensions of environmental values, environmental education should be carried out continuously, with special emphasis on men.
