Rapid directional solidification and its simulation of Al-Pb alloys

| 英文摘要 | Rapid directional solidification experiments were carried out with Al-Pb alloys. The microstructure evolution during the solidification was calculated according to the practical experimental conditions. The results indicate that under a constant solidification velocity, the size and its distribution width of the minority phase droplets increase with increasing the Pb content in the alloy. For an alloy of given composition, the size and distribution width of the minority phase droplets decrease with increasing the solidification velocity. The numerical results, which have an acceptable coincidence with the experimental ones, exhibit clearly the microstructure evolution process. |
