Preparation and optical properties of transparent Mn : MgAl2O4 ceramics

英文摘要Mn:MgAl2O4 powders with different doping concentration were obtained by melt salt calcining. Transparent ceramic Mn:MgAl2O4 were prepared by vacuum sintering. The preparation of transparent Mn: MgAl2O4 ceramics with potential applications in the field of visible-band ceramic laser material and their light transmission, microstructure and photoluminescence properties were investigated by ultraviolet-visible spectrometer, scanning electron microscopy and fluorescence spectrometer, respectively. As a result, transparent Mn:MgAl2O4 ceramics were obtained by a simple method. Compared with single crystals, two channels of visible-band luminescence, one strong peak around centered at 520nm and one weak peak centered at 690 nm, respectively, can be shown. Unlike those of single crystals, the two channels are related.
