Effect of surface diffusion barrier coatings of SiCf on interfacial reactions of SiCf/Ni composites

| 英文摘要 | C-Al2O3 and SiO2-Al2O3 barrier layers have been coated on the surface of the SiC fibers to inhibit the element diffusion at the interface in SiCf/Ni composite prepared by vacuum heat press. After heat treatment in vacuum at 850-950 degrees C for 150 h, the coatings can effectively block the element diffusion at the interface and protect fiber's integration. The C layer in the C-Al2O3 coating has slightly diffused during the heat treatment, but the coating is still integrated. In contrast, the SiO2 layer in the SiO2-Al2O3 coating makes the bind between fiber and matrix weak and brittle, and some cracks in the interface can be seen clearly. Al2O3 layer is binded well with Ni matrix in both C-Al2O3 and SiO2-Al2O3 coating. In comparison, the ability of anti-element diffusion of the C-Al2O3 coating is better than that of the SiO2-Al2O3 coating. |
