Effects of combined addition of Mo-B on transformed microstructure of ultra high-strength pipeline steels

英文摘要The transformation characteristic, microstructure and microhardness for ultra high-strength pipeline steels with different ratios of contents of Mo and B-(s) R-Mo/B(s) (B-(s): effective boron in steel) were investigated. Combined additions of Mo and B can more effectively increase the hardenability, volume fraction of lower bainite and hardness of the steel than individual addition. The experimental results showed that there existed an optimum value of R-Mo/B(s) to achieve the optimum microstructure and the highest microhardness. The mechanism for the effect of combined addition Mo-B on ultra high-strength pipeline steels was also discussed.
