英文摘要The evolution of microstructure and phase transformation in TC16 titanium alloy after solution and then quenching from 700 degrees C to 900 degrees C were investigated by XRD, SEM and TEM, and the corresponding tensile properties were also measured. The results reveal that Tc16 titanium alloy consists of primary alpha phase, metastable beta phase and small amount of omega phase when quenching at 700 and 750 degrees C. With quenching temperature increasing, the phase transformation of beta ->alpha '' happens. The alloy is completely composed of alpha '' martensite when quenching from single 13 phase field. Tensile test shows the yield strength of metastable microstructure samples is lowered due to stress induced alpha '' martensitic transformation.
