Study of corrosion resistance of anodized film on the SiCp/2024 Al metal matrix composite with electrochemical impedance spectroscopy

| 英文摘要 | The corrosion resistance of sulfuric acid anodized film on the SiC particle reinforced 2024 aluminum metal matrix composite (SiCp/2024Al MMC) in 3.5% NaCl aqueous solution was investigated using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy and compared with that of sulfuric acid anodized 2024 Al. The results show that the anodized film on SiCp/2024Al provides satisfactory corrosion resistance in 3.5% NaCl solution, and the corrosion resistance of the film sealing in dichromate solution is better than in hot water. The anodized film on SiCp/2024Al is not as effective as on 2024Al because the homogenity of the anodized layer is destrpued by SiC particulates. |
