英文摘要Hot deformation behavior of an as-cast 18-8 type austenitic stainless steel was investigated in a strain rate range of 5 x 10(-3) - 1 x 10(-1) s(-1) and at a temperature range of 1000-1200 degreesC by hot compression testing. The hot deformation equation, and deformation parameters were obtained by using the testing results. The difference of hot deformation behavior between the as-cast and as-wrought steels was compared and the result indicates that the flow stress of hot deformation for the as-cast steel is higher than that for the as-wrought steel but their difference becomes smaller when the deformation temperature is higher and the strain rate is lower.
