Effect of Mo content on the corrosion and erosion-corrosion of stainless steel in oil containing naphthenic acid

英文摘要 | Five types of 316L-based stainless steels with different Mo contents were prepared, and their corrosion and erosion-corrosion behaviors in oil containing naphthenic acid were investigated. The results show that the 316L based stainless steels have excellent resistance to corrosion and erosion-corrosion in oil containing naphthenic acid. As Mo content increases, the corrosion and erosion-corrosion rates of the stainless steels decrease gradually. Liquid erosion dramatically accelerates naphtehnic acid corrosion of the stainless steels. Considering both the mechanical properties and the resistance to corrosion and erosion-corrosion, the appropriate Mo content of stainless steel for petrochemical industry should be about 5% (mass fraction). |
