Effect of the melt treatment temperature on the melt structure and microstructure of a nickel based singale crystal superalloy

英文摘要The melt treatment was conducted on a single crystal Ni-base superalloy. The melt was superheated at different temperaturs, and then the corresponding solidified microstructures were studied. The melt structures of alloy heated in the temperature range from 1450 degreesC to 1600 degreesC, were investigated using a high temperature X-ray diffractometer. The results show that with the increase of the melt treatment temperature, the structures of the melt become more homogeneous; the primary arm spacing gradually decreases; the microsegregation gradually lowers; the gamma' precipitates in both dendrite core and interdendrite area are refined; the difference in size of gamma' precipitates in both dendrite core and interdendrite area gradually decreases.
