英文摘要The oxidation of the Cu-Ni-30Cr alloy prepared by arc-melting, presenting Cr content with much higher than the three Cu-Ni-20Cr alloys, has been studied at 700degreesC - 860degreesC in pure oxygen. The alloy contains a mixture of three phases, each of which has a rather high Cr content. The presence of three phases is not able to prevent the diffusion-of the most reactive component Cr from the alloy to the alloy/scale interface, so that this alloy forms a continuous external scale of Cr2O3. At the same time, under the Cr2O3 scale this alloy forms also a lighter layer depleted in chromium and a deep region containing a mixture of alloy phase's and Phromia. In spite of this, the chromium content dissolved in the alloy in the region of internal oxidation is still sufficient to prevent the oxidation of the two more noble components, copper and nickel, and to allow the formation of the external chromia layer.
