英文摘要The oxidation behavior of a two-phase ternary Cu-44wt%Cr-12wt%Fe alloy prepared by powder metallurgy (PM) has been studied at 900degreesC under three different oxygen pressures. The surface, the cross sectional morphology and the composition & the oxidation film were observed and discussed by optical microscope, XRD, SEM/EDX. The results show that the surface of alloy with 44wt%Cr content in the alloy cannot produce a continuous chromia scale under 0.1 MPa oxygen, and a reduction of the oxidation rates with lowered oxygen pressures is attributed to the formation of a continuous and compacted outer chromia scale. Finally the oxidation formation mechanism under different oxygen pressure is discussed.
