Martensitic transformation behaviors of Ti50Ni25Cu25 shape memory alloy

英文摘要Martensitic transformation behaviors of a solution treated Ti50Ni25Cu25 shape memory alloy has been investigated by means of electrical resistivity measurement, differential scanning calorimeter, and internal friction test, respectively. Only one-stage transformation, known as B2<---->B19, occurred in the temperature range from -150 degreesC to 150 degreesC during heating and cooling process in these tests. The X-ray diffraction profiles obtained at selected temperatures, further confirm the lattice structures of different phases and reveal the process of martensitic transformation. Moreover, thermal cycling test indicat that the martensitic transformation temperatures of the Ti50Ni25Cu25 shape memory alloy are nearly stable during the first five times thermal cycling.
