Observation of X-ray/gamma-ray counterpart of multi-messenger transients with Insight-HXMT and GECAM

英文摘要The Insight-HXMT (Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) has been monitoring the astrophysical sky for X-ray/gamma-ray counterparts of multi-messenger transients (i.e. Gravitational Waves and cosmic neutrinos) since the launch in June of 2017. It played an important role in the multi-messenger observation campaigns since it features a very large collection area ($\sim$1000 cm$ ^{2}$), high time resolution ($\sim$ 2 microsecond) and the less-explored energy band (0.2-5 MeV). To meet the increasing requirements of the x-ray/gamma-ray counterpart observation, the Gravitational wave high-energy Electromagnetic Counterpart All-sky Monitor (GECAM) was proposed in 2016 and is planned to launch in 2020. It consists of two small satellites, and has an instantaneous Field of View (FOV) of 100% all-sky, localization accuracy of a few square degrees, low energy threshold (down to $\sim$6 keV) and wide energy band (up to $\sim$5 MeV), as well as high sensitivity ($\sim$~2E-8 erg/cm$ ^{2}$/s), making it very powerful to detect and localize GRB170817A-like events. GECAM can also distribute trigger alerts with low-latency (10s seconds to minutes). In this presentation, observation results of Insight-HXMT and prospects of GECAM will be briefly reviewed.
