EVIDENCE FOR SUPERDEFORMED SHAPE ISOMERIC STATES IN SI-28 AT EXCITATIONS ABOVE 40 MEV THROUGH OBSERVATIONS OF SELECTIVE PARTICLE DECAYS OF O-16+C-12 RESONANCES IN BE-8 AND ALPHA-CHANNELS - COMMENT

英文摘要A recent study of the (C(O, Be)Ne)-C-12-O-16-Be-8-Ne-20 and (C(O,alpha)Mg)-C-12-O-16-Mg-24 reactions has led, through cross channel correlation analysis, to the identification of two superdeformed shape isomeric states in Si-28 at excitation energies of 43.7 and 46.2 MeV. We suggest that both these states may have alpha-alpha-O-16-alpha nuclear molecule structure. Our suggestion is supported theoretically by cranked cluster model calculations and experimentally by previous studies of the (C(C,alphaalpha)O)-C-12-O-16 reaction, C-12+C-12 scattering, and the (C(Ne,CC)Be-C-12-Ne-20,-C-12-C-12)-Be-8 transfer reaction.
