英文摘要 | SO_2 emission from coal-combustion has caused serious atmosphere environmental pollution. Flue gas desulfurization is the ideal method to deal with the problem. Among flue gas desulfurization technologies, removal of SO_2 from flue gas over activated carbons is a good method. The mechanism of continuous removal of SO_2 over activated carbon is as follows: first, SO_2 is adsorbed over the surface of activated carbons, and then the adsorbed SO_2 is oxidized to SO_3 which is transformed into H_2SO_4 in the presence of H_2O. The acid adsorbed on the carbon surface will be continuously removed by supplying sufficient water onto activated carbons surface. As the acid flows out, the reactive sites once again become reactive towards SO_2 adsorption. The most representative characteristics of this method are continuous removal of SO_2, no need for frequent regeneration, low temperature, energy and water saving. The thesis aimed at the effect factors of SO_2 removal from flue gas over activated carbon at about 50℃ or about 200℃. At the same time, the removal of SO_2 from flue gas over metallic oxides supported activated carbon was also investigated. It is found from the tests that the efficiency of removal SO_2 from flue gas over activated carbons is high; the efficiency of desulfurization increases with the increase of the specific surface area, especially at low temperature; the efficiency of desulfurization increases with the decrease of the space velocity, but it will add cost; that there is an optimal content of O_2 and H_2O in the flue gas: the content of oxygen at about 9% is best; the best content of moisture in the flue gas is related with reaction temperature. Activated carbon supported V_2O_5, CuO and Fe_2O_3 shows higher desulfurization activity comparing with activated carbon in the removal of SO_2 from flue gas, but if regeneration by heating in nitrogen, its desulfurization ability will decrease. |
