英文摘要

Nowadays, education for children's mental health is attracting more and more attention. Using existing reliable materials to evaluate is particularly important. [Objectives] This study provided a large of affective norms for Chinese children. [Methods] 102 children (aged 7, 9, 11 years) were selected to rate 1,558 Chinese affective words. This study collected the ratings of valence, arousal, dominance, and self-relevance among three age groups using a nine-point scale. [Results] The correlation analysis of the four dimensions was carried out by SPSS AU. The results revealed that there was a U-shaped relationship between valence and arousal, with extremely pleasant and unpleasant words having higher arousal. Self-relevance was significantly positively related with the dimension of valence and dominance among three ages. Arousal and self-relevance were significantly negatively correlated in children aged 9 and aged 11. [Conclusion] The database will allow us to find more about the processing of emotional words for children.
