英文摘要This case study describes a community-based management approach for conserving one protected area in the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau. This approach has proven effective in the Mangkang National Nature Reserve due to the successful conservation of the Black Snub-nosed Monkey (Rhinopithecus bieti) and the concurrent poverty alleviation of local communities. This close relationship between local communities and the protected area increases the motivation and responsibility of local residents to better support the management of the protected area.
