英文摘要 | Currently, although the greening is prevalent, it is unclear whether greening can truly improve vegetation productivity in the tropics and its main influence factors. To effectively manage vegetation, it is necessary not only to have a deep understanding of its characteristics but also to have a clear understanding of the main influencing factors. Based on Enhanced Vegetation Index (EVI) and Gross primary productivity (GPP) indexes in Mainland Southeast Asia and Yunnan province (China), we analyzed vegetation greenness and productivity, and revealed the main influencing factors. We found that:1) greening and productivity showed significant increase larger than significant decrease; the relative increase rate of productivity (0.26%/year) was higher than greenness (0.11%/year); the inconsistency between greenness and productivity appeared prevalent, accounting for 57.23%. 2) temperature and precipitation were the important factors for vegetation changes, with a greater impact on greenness than productivity in most regions. 3) for the total vegetation regions, about 56%-60% of the areas were dominated by human activities for greenness and productivity, and 38%-40% of the areas were dominantly affected by climate factors. For vegetation change, the 60.69% of the EVI significant increase region and 55.74% of the GPP significant increase region mainly influenced by climate factors; the 67.34% of the EVI significant decrease region and 86.28% of the GPP significant decrease region mainly influenced by human factors. In addition, productivity was inconsistent with greenness originating not only from climate factors, but also from high land use intensity. The results suggested simultaneous monitoring of vegetation greenness and productivity can serve as indicators for comprehensive understanding of vegetation dynamics to attain vegeta-tion sustainable development in the tropics. |
