英文摘要 | The rejuvenation which is the reverse of the physical aging is expected to solve the problems of brittleness and physical aging of MGs. Although numerous studies try to reveal the origin of deep cryogenic treatment (DCT) induced rejuvenation, the origin of rejuvenation is now somewhat controversial. Here, thermal cycling on the time-dependent plastic deformation and structure dynamic of a Zr47.5Cu47.5Al5 metallic glass (MG) with different states is investigated. The results show that rejuvenation or improvement of creep deformation is ascribed to the activation of STZ volume which is controlled by total defects number in Zr47.5Cu47.5Al5 MG. Moreover, neutron total scattering reveals that the thermal cycling can induce the change of medium-range order (MRO), which is independent with the initial states of the samples. © 2022 Elsevier B.V. |
