英文摘要The Mongol -Okhotsk orogenic belt extends to the northeast from Central Mongolia as far as the Uda Gulf in the Okhotsk Sea, and it is likely formed from the closure of the Mongol -Okhotsk Ocean during Jurassic -Cretaceous. Thus, the reconstruction of the Mongol -Okhotsk orogenic belt played a crucial role in the tectonic evolution of the Northeast Asia and the final amalgamation of the Eurasia during the Mesozoic. The Mongol -Okhotsk orogenic belt is characterized by the development of a U-shaped oroclinal structure, and its buckling has led to a strong " self-collision" between its two wings. In previous tectonic models, the formation of Mongol Okhotsk oroclinal structure was attributed to either buckling of a long ribbon-like system due to the convergence of the Siberian and Tarim cratons, roll -back of the Paleo-Asian Ocean and the relative rotation of the North China and Siberian cratons, but has ignored the effect of the subduction of the Mongol -Okhotsk Ocean. Recently, structural observation around the hinge of the orocline and magmatic migration indicates that rollback of the subducted Mongol -Okhotsk Ocean plate could contribute to the development of the orocline, but this model is conceptual and not well constrained by geological data. The back -arc ophiolite, bimodal volcanic suite, A2 -type and S type granites and associated sediments surrounding the Mongol -Okhotsk orocline indicate that a > 5000 -km -long multistage back -arc extension belt existed in the southwestern segment of the Mongol -Okhotsk orogenic belt related to the rollback of the Mongol -Okhotsk oceanic plate during Permo-Triassic Period. The identification of the back -arc extension belt suggests a probable Western Pacific -type active margin rather than the previously proposed Andean -type margin during the Permo-Triassic Period. The 5000 -km -long multistage back -arc extension developed during the major phase of Mongol -Okhotsk oroclinal bending ( Permo-Triassic), indicating the rollback of the Mongol -Okhotsk oceanic plate probably play an important role for the formation of the Mongol -Okhotsk orocline.
