Multi-source geophysical image fusion method to identify physical anomaly : A case study of airborne electromagnetic and magnetic data

英文摘要 | For one geological model, multiple inversion results are usually obtained by inverted different geophysical data. Comprehensive interpretation of multi-source geophysical data is helpful to achieve accurate identification and location of the target in complex terrain environment. In order to realize the fusion of multi-source data, a method based on Non-Subsampled Contourlet Transform (NSCT) is proposed in this paper. An open source data set that contains airborne electromagnetic and magnetic data from the Iliamna volcanic region in southwest Cook Bay, Alaska, USA, are used. Firstly, multi -source images of different stratum are decomposed into low-frequency and high-frequency sub -band images by NSCT. Then, the fusion rules based on a weighted average and New Metric Parameter (NMP) are designed for the low frequency and highfrequency sub-band images, respectively. Finally, NSCT inverse transformation is used to obtain the fused image containing the information of magnetic susceptibility and resistivity. The fusion results are compared with the prior information from three aspects. The results show that the two have a high consistency, which indicates that this method is effective and reliable and provides a new solution for the target's accurate recognition and fast location. |
