Immunosuppressive steroids from the twigs and leaves of Dysoxylum hongkongense

| 英文摘要 | Five new steroids, including stigmastane (1 and 2), ergostane (3 and 4), and pregnane (5) types, along with three known steroids (6-8) were isolated from the twigs and leaves of Dysoxylum hongkongense. Their structures and absolute configurations were established by analyses of spectroscopic data and TDDFT-ECD calculations. Immunosuppression assays revealed that compounds 3 and 7 exhibited considerable inhibitory activity against the proliferation of B lymphocytes with IC50 values of 217 and 206 nM, respectively, which are comparable to an IC50 value of 144 nM for the positive control, cyclo-sporin A (CsA). More importantly, they showed better selectivity index (SI) values (SI = 39 and 47, respectively) than CsA (SI = 9). The good bioactivities and SI values make them a promising class of lead structures for the development of immunosuppressive agents.(c) 2023 Elsevier Ltd. All rights reserved. |
